A native New Yorker with an adventurous spirit, Rachel moved to Latin America in 2012 to take a sales and marketing position with a regional resort and residential development company. After her first work trip to Ambergris Caye, Belize in November 2012, Rachel became enamored with the laid-back, colorful lifestyle she experienced while in-country. With trips becoming more frequent and longer over the years, in 2016 she finally decided to call San Pedro, Ambergris Caye home full-time. She eventually left her position as VP Sales & Marketing with the development company to open a boutique real estate brokerage in Belize to serve foreign home buyers.
